Battlefield 2021: Part 5 – The Battlefield
(Continued from Parts 1, 2, 3, and 4. Please read them first.)
Are we about to enter a “hot war”?
I don’t know …
Maybe.
Either way, what I’m about to tell you will apply either way.
We are, however, at the beginnings of a great war.
And …
The problem is, most of us are arriving on the battlefield with outdated weapons.
Before I explain what I mean, here are a few things you need to understand …
The first “shots” of this war have already been fired.
These shots have not been fired with conventional weapons, for the most part.
Rather, so far, the battle has been mostly restricted to …
- economic warfare
- information warfare
To fully explain the complexities of those two concepts could fill volumes.
My mission here is to help you understand them well enough to make good rational decisions.
And in times of war, the survival of you and your family depends on the quality of those decisions.
Let us take a brief look at each.
1. Economic Warfare
There is an urban legend that Mayer Amschel Rothschild once said …
“Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws!”
Whether or not he actually said that is in dispute, but … the point is quite valid nonetheless.
The Mysterious Origins of the Quote It is thought the above quote, whoever said it, was actually an adaptation of another earlier, also untraceable, quote/cliché. “Let me make the songs of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws.” I’m not sharing this information just for fun. It’s equally important. Hold that thought … |
Right now as I write this, the “reserve currency” of the world is the United States dollar.
But this wasn’t always so … up until the first half of the 20th century, the British pound sterling was the reserve currency. Before that it was gold … Before that the Dutch guilder …
Each time the reserve currency changed represented a seismic shift in the financial system.
Right now, not only is the future of the US Dollar as the reserve currency highly uncertain …
The entire financial system itself is up for grabs.
- The Chinese Communist Party is maneuvering to make the Chinese Yuan the global reserve currency
- The World Economic Forum is pushing for a murky, but clearly radical, initiative called The Great Reset that would change the very nature of the financial system – and even life on this earth – itself
- Many people are flocking to cryptocurrencies and other alternatives to protect themselves from the uncertainty … potentially making total disruption a self-fulfilling prophecy
“But don’t worry … the government won’t let us all starve. We’ll work it out.”
Really, now?
In the US it took us months to even approve those paltry $600 Covid stimulus checks.
But no time was wasted in getting plenty of support to big business.
Yeah, they got your back.
This is war, folks.
But we don’t even know who “the enemy” is.
All we know is that they are using financial warfare against us.
How do we fight a battle against an unknown enemy?
How do we fight a battle on a battlefield that is in constant flux?
We’ll revisit that in a moment.
2. Information Warfare
Let us revisit the above quote …
“Let me make the songs of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws.”
As you learned in the previous posts, the media (in all forms … news, social, entertainment) has been making our “songs” …
They are shaping our culture and our belief systems, and as we have also learned, this is not by accident.
Over the last few posts I’ve been equipping you to fight the information war.
Now I want to equip you to fight the financial war.
Above I asked …
“How do we fight a battle against an unknown enemy?”
“How do we fight a battle on a battlefield that is in constant flux?”
In the next post, the grande finale of this series, I will reveal your ultimate weapon.
But before you can understand how to wield it …
We must first return to “first principles.”
There are fundamental things you must understand about how money works. Once you know them, they can shield you against even the most severe volatility.
In usual style, I have put together a simple resource for you that will make these first principles abundantly easy to understand.
