In The Greatest Showman we got a just and historically accurate peak into the genius that was P.T. Barnum. (In so much as we can know the historical accuracy of anything … but that’s a story for another day.)
It’s truly a wonderful film and offers a business education in itself.
But …
It pales in comparison to the business book Barnum penned with his own hand: The Art of Money Getting.
The book, which tells how he made a fortune, lost it all, and then rose back to the top, contains some extremely powerful lessons. After 28 years in business, and experiencing multiple ups and downs (in fortune and health), I can corroborate: the wisdom of this book runs deep.
It contains essential lessons (the importance of which are usually ignored by most until they suffer a crushing defeat by ignoring any of these principles).
